Jan is a legend within the Royal Marine Corps and Royal Navy Rugby. From dawn to dusk and then some Jan is a consummate Rugby Manager and great bloke. His devotion to the team and coaching staff are ultimate and clear to see when working with him. A true Leader who is Conscientious, Hard working, Loyal and Honest he is one of the best managers I have ever worked with. Throughout our period together with the Royal Navy Sharks (Sevens) 2008-2009 he has delivered at the highest level on two UK Sevens seasons and overseas tours to South Africa and Dubai; His Planning, Leadership and Organisational skills are first class and the players have the utmost respect for him as a manager and as a great guy who works tirelessly to get the job done and more. What more can I say; he is the man you want in your team when the chips are down and the guy you want leading the way when times are good. He is a true friend and work colleague.

Jan Hicklin in the summer of 2009 organised a fantastic rugby tour to Cape Town, South Africa. In the build up to the tour many of the Royal Marine players were deployed in Afghanistan on Operations, myself included. During this time Jan's organisational skills were excellent. Keeping us informed of developments, taking our tour deposits, seeking financial subsidies through various funds, sourcing flights, kit and fixtures. This was all conducted in a very efficient and professional manner, giving the players confidence that the Tour would be a re-sounding success. Once in South Africa, Jan again provided an excellent service organising the fixtures and many interesting and varied extra-curricular activities. He linked into local tourism and provided tickets to watch the British Lions play rugby, vineyard tours and shark diving experiences to name but a few. The hotel, flights and food were excellent. Jan successfully managed and took charge of this rugby tour in an exemplary manner. The feedback from the players was all very positive, they thoroughly enjoyed the Tour experience. The credit of which must go to Jan. This South Africa tour is just one of a number of domestic and foreign tours that Jan has successfully initiated in his time serving with the Royal Marines. I would whole-heartedly recommend Jan and his company to any clients for their tour management; they will receive first-class service from an established and experienced company.

Jan organised a rugby tour to South Africa for the Royal Marines in June 2009. As the tour Captain I witnessed at first hand Jan%s tireless efforts, both prior to, and during a very enjoyable and successful tour. His organisational ability and 'can-do' attitude were obvious throughout and I would definately ask Jan to organise future tours.
